About CPSP

The Certificate Program in Sanskrit Proficiency (CPSP) is a comprehensive 4-year program designed for learners aged 14 and above. Spanning 16 quarters and offering 24 credits, CPSP systematically develops proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding Sanskrit. Beginning with the Devanāgarī script and progressing through structured grammar and vocabulary, students gain the skills needed to engage with Sanskrit literature firsthand. This program serves as a gateway to the depth and precision of Samskritam, fostering a lifelong appreciation for its cultural and spiritual significance.

About the Speaker:

Smt. Parvathi Sriram, currently serves as the Coordinator of Sanskrit Studies at Hindu University of America. A physical therapist by qualification, she has over a decade of experience in teaching Samskritam and Vedanta at various organizations in the US. At HUA, she leads the Certificate Programs in Sanskrit Studies. Besides HUA, she teaches Sanskrit at Arsha Vidya Bhaarati, and has been teaching Vedanta to Balavihar students at Chinmaya Mission Houston since 2013. She continues her Vedanta and Sanskrit learning to deepen her knowledge.
