What is Hindutva? How do we understand that term in relation to Hindu Dharma?  The term Hindutva has been weaponized in recent times, both by Western Scholars  as well as Indian adversaries of Hindu Dharma, through relentless misrepresentation of that term.

In the face of this onslaught, many Hindus wish to distance themselves from 'Hindutva', and try to occupy a space called 'Hindu but not Hindutva'. Many others try to maintain a public image of not being associated with Hindutva, while privately sympathising with the cause of Hindutva, fearing the reputational risk that is associated with that term. Still others wish to side step the term Hindu itself altogether, preferring alternatives such as  South Asian, Indian, Indic, Dharmic, Sanatani, Vedic and so on.

What is the cost of trying to avoid this reputational risk? Is there any other alternative before us?

In this Webinar, HUA President Kalyan Viswanathan will share his reflections on this urgent and important topic. We invite you to participate in this much needed conversation.
