Back pain is one of the leading causes of missed work in the United States. According to the CDC, 25% of U.S. adults report having low back pain in the last 3 months. It is the most common pain reported.  A staggering 14% of insured patients who sought care for low back pain, were prescribed opioids. Despite its widespread prevalence, modern medicine has been unable to find a cure for back pain.

Yoga is shown to have been effective treatment for back pain. Yoga is safe and can work along with other modalities like medicines, physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, and acupuncture.  While all the other modalities can be expensive or ridden with side effects, yoga remains a low-cost, safe technique, not just for back pain management, but also for overall health and peace of mind.

In this webinar you will learn about,

  • yoga as a therapeutic practice through a small hands-on training
  • modern medicine and back pain management

  • the yogic approach to back pain.

  • evidence based yoga intervention for back pain

  • the course - Healing Back Pain through Yoga

  • and other courses offered by Hindu University of America
