The Ramcharitmanas also called as Tulsi Krit Ramayana of Goswami Tulsidas (c. 1532-1623) is a sixteenth century retelling of the Sanskrit epic, the Ramayana of Valmiki, composed in Ayodhya, North India, some 50 years after the Ram Temple in Ayodhya was destroyed by the Islamic emperor Babur. The Ramcharitmanas is the sole guide for living for millions around the world who receive it as a Shastra. It has served as a survival text for the poor and oppressed during invasions and colonization and continues to inspire Hindu cultural and civilizational sustenance today.
In this Webinar, you will hear about the significance of the text, especially for the Hindu diaspora around the world, as well as a new course being introduced at HUA in the summer quarter, 2022.
