Dr. Keshav Goyal
After teaching in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Allahabad University for about seven years, he immigrated to the US in 1974. He got his Ph.D. in the area of Geothermal Energy at the age of 34. He was involved in Geothermal research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and then subsequently conducted exploration, development, and steam production leading to power generation at various Geothermal companies throughout his career. After completing a professional career of 45 years, he retired in 2011 and presently lives in Santa Rosa, California. In his retirement, he enjoys various activities including Vipassana Meditation, Ashtaang Yog and volunteering. He volunteers for the Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP) to help seniors with their Medicare and Medi-Cal related problems. He also helps prepare free tax returns for seniors and low-income adults through the AARP Taxaide Program. He is also a member of the VHP and HAF organizations.
