I am an author, editor and columnist who writes on a variety of issues including water management, environment and Indian history. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering in India. For a while, I worked as an engineer in the Environment Department of HPCL Refinery in Mumbai. After winning two national essay contests, I made a career shift to writing. In 2003, I was one of the winners of the Water Media Network Journalists Competition conducted by the World Bank, and was awarded during the 3rd World Water Forum at Kyoto. In November 2008, I won the Developing Asia Journalism Awards (Infrastructure Category) in Tokyo, in which journalists from Asian countries competed.
